Introduction

Law Office of Lynn Smith has been practicing in the area of personal injury for over 20 years. No case is too big of small. Philosophy is to educate the average client of their rights, and will not settle your case until you receive the compensation you deserve. Helping the defenseless become more able to have a better chance of satisfaction for their loss. To be able to show clients there is no shame in demanding what they deserve, and taking the worry out of receiving compensation for their loss.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
This law office works primarily on a contingency basis with regard to personal injury. The client and the office come to an agreement with a percentage that is fair and then we go to work. In most cases, if the client receives no compensation there is no fee for Attorney Services. With regard to other legal services I either charge an hourly rate or flat fee. Please inquire what type of service you require.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
All consultations are free of charge, no matter what the issue. These consultations are either by phone or email. Should a preliminary agreement be made, arrangements will be made to either meet with the client or perform any and all services online, depending on the issue. Many of my clients find it difficult to have an in-person meeting due to distance, client preference or disability and therefore online works best for the office or client.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been a personal injury attorney for more than 25 years. Although I represent clients and many personal injury areas, I place emphasis on automobile accidents. Have had great success in dealing with insurance companies and at-fault drivers. More than 95% of all my cases have been settled out of court, which means you more than likely will never experience being a witness. Moreover, I have settled cases of $500,000 or more. Having graduated from Arizona State University College of Law, and finishing formal studies at Santa Clara Law School has taught me the importance of educating the client so that they are fully informed of all aspects of their case. I work diligently and explore every opportunity for compensation for my clients, and leave little to error. It is not only your case, it is our case.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Long ago I decided to be a champion for the person who is in need of defending or "making things right."

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
This office tries to work with all clients who have been injured. Those who have a need for a voice to represent them with their insurance companies or parties who have caused harm are welcome in this practice.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The most recent I am fond of involves a minor discriminated by her school. The highlight is working with the minor and her parent. The harm was so devasting one could not help but become truly invested. Though I enjoy representing all my clients, this one was special because of the social and civil issues involved, and the trust the clients had in me to speak for them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When searching for an attorney, find out if the attorney communicates all issues pro and con well, listens and is enthusiastic about your case. In addition, there must be diligence in investigating and evaluating the value of your case.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
A customer must realize that the insurance company does not have your best interest at heart. Only someone who is representing you will attempt to obtain all the money that you deserve. When you deal with an insurance company yourself, remember it is their business to save the company as much as possible and will offer you much less than you deserve. Whether the client has been in a traffic accident, fallen on dangerous property, been discriminated against, or been personally harmed by other methods could receive with an attorney that is experienced and knows the laws of insurance and insurance tactics well.
